BTW, I'll answer up front RE "Losing the Duck". See when I was growing up and people wore a length at the nape of their neck longer than the rest of the body (usually quite short) they were known as ducktails. I know they came to be known as mullets and a couple of other monikers but that was what I knew thenm as.
