About Gemutations: Plague:

The Short of It:

Plague is an anthro (Anthropromorphic) comic centering around shark mutants and their cybernetic allies, who combine forces in order to find the source of a mutagenic plague.

A Bit More in Depth:

It's been nearly 60 years since gemues (genetically mutated humans)first came to be. In that time they have become one of the most persecuted factions in US history. Their lives are already hard. When gemues begin to appear that can spread their affliction like the common cold, their lives are threatened with worse.

David "Tigershark" Scott and his girlfriend, Angelina Cortez, are hot on the case, trying to halt the spread while attempting to find the source of the trouble. In their search, they gain unlikely allies in Dr. Tom Martin and his brother Steve.

Their search becomes a race to find cause and cure - to halt the spread before the Purists in society use it as an excuse to declare war on the gemue populations - to get rid of them once and for all.

About the Creator:

Denise, or Darwin, as she likes to be called, has been writing creatively since the age of nineteen (twenty years). She has been drawing since the age of 4 1/2. While she has been writing stories with the intention of getting them published. In 2006 she combined her two passions into webcomics. She considered it an excellent way to get others interested in her written works.

With the help of Kez, she set up at Drunk Duck, and then the mirror on Comicgenesis with her graphic novel adaptation of the sequel to her published book Gemutations: Plague. Catching the "fever" as it were, she was quick to follow up her first effort with an adaptation of the ending chapters of Only Half: Endgame, beginning with Sins of the Father. By 2011 she was accepted to the Spider Forest Comic Collective and moved her comics to their current home.

As you can tell by her "other comics" listing, she didn't stop there. And each year she brings on board another set of characters in the graphic style.
