Between writing Mercenaries and Angels and Plague, I'd kicked the idea around seriously about David and Angelina finding a bunch of video files of David's processing.

There were many false starts on it, for sure, but when I finally pulled together the idea for G: P, I found a good alternative to that.

David reliving his time in Marcus' care through flashback seemed to very much fit the bill!
