Well now... interesting developments here on this page. Some that may need some explanation.

See when I was developing Tom's character, one of the things I had decided was that his artificial heart (a pump really) has an adverse effect on electronics in close proximity. It puts out a low level emp field... LOL... poor guy.

Tom learned this the hard way going through several really expensive watches because he would rest his arm against his chest and they would fry out. In the original version of "Forgotten Ties" he actually used the ability to fry out his house arrest band. <_< >_> At some point I decided he wasn't THAT much of a deviant! :P

Unfortunately it also tends to send his pump into overdrive when he does this little stunt.

"POP the locks" has a dual meaning in this case... if you paid attention to some of the internal conversation going on you might have an idea what Tom means by that BEYOND unlocking his bonds.

No Tom did not somehow orchestrate the blackout... Who did? Well, keep reading and we'll find out!
